Building on this success, Kim Long Motor plans to continue expanding exports to the Middle East and other international markets in the near future.

On December 9, Kim Long Motor Hue Joint Stock Company and KIJSETTHI Mobility (Thailand) officially signed a sales agreement.

Under the agreement, Kim Long Motor will supply 1,000 Kim Long–branded buses of various types to KIJSETTHI Mobility for distribution in the Thai market.

1,000 buses of various categories

KIJSETTHI Mobility operates in the field of comprehensive mobility services in Thailand, including commercial vehicle sales, spare parts supply, repair and maintenance services for trucks and buses, while also expanding into sustainable mobility solutions in the era of electric vehicles (EVs).

Headquartered in Suphanburi, Thailand, KIJSETTHI Mobility has built a strong reputation thanks to its diverse product portfolio, professional after-sales services, and flexible ability to meet the needs of transportation operators across the region.

According to the contract, Kim Long Motor will deliver 1,000 buses of various categories to the Thai market, including its core models:12-meter buses (internal combustion engine and fully electric), 7.8-meter buses (internal combustion engine), and 7.5-meter electric buses.

These products have been researched and developed by Kim Long Motor's experienced engineering team, tailored to Thailand's terrain, transport infrastructure, and the specific requirements of local customers.

Among them, the 7.5-meter and 12-meter electric buses stand out as key highlights, featuring modern designs and full environmental friendliness. The vehicles are equipped with new-generation BYD battery systems, manufactured at the battery production and assembly plant within the Kim Long Motor Hue Automotive Industrial Park. This enables stable, smooth operation and high performance even under continuous service conditions.

Thanks to their energy efficiency and significant emissions reduction, these models align well with green transportation requirements and meet Thailand's strong push toward clean energy transition.

Meanwhile, the 12-meter Kim Long 99 seated and sleeper buses feature modern, comfortable designs and are powered by the new-generation YUCHAI K11 engine, offering strong performance and fuel consumption of only 19–22 liters per 100 km, promising optimal efficiency for transport operators.

Since their launch, more than 2,000 vehicles equipped with engines used in the Kim Long 99 series have been delivered to customers and partners.

In addition, the 7.8-meter bus model, compliant with Euro 5 standards, features a compact, flexible design with stable acceleration and braking, making it suitable for short routes and high-frequency operations. It offers an optimal solution for urban routes with high traffic density.

A new milestone

All exported products are manufactured at the Kim Long Motor Hue Automotive Manufacturing and Assembly Industrial Park, which operates with automated production lines and digitally integrated management systems.

Notably, Kim Long Motor Hue's engine manufacturing and automotive production capabilities have been significantly strengthened with the launch of the YUCHAI engine manufacturing plant, inaugurated on December 5. Covering 6.5 hectares, with an initial investment of 260 million USD and an automation rate of up to 90%, the plant is capable of producing a wide range of internationally certified engines for buses, minibuses, and next-generation commercial vehicles.

From the partner's perspective, representatives of KIJSETTHI Mobility stated that during their search for a truly reliable partner capable of supplying large vehicle volumes within a short timeframe, they were particularly impressed by Kim Long Motor. Visiting the modern production lines and completed product ranges at the factory further reinforced their confidence in the cooperation decision.

"I believe KIJSETTHI Mobility has a great opportunity to realize this vision through collaboration with Kim Long Motor. I also hope that our cooperation will not stop at meeting immediate business needs, but will open the door to deeper collaboration in the future. Kim Long buses will become increasingly well known among customers in Thailand and across Southeast Asia, together delivering more sustainable transportation solutions to meet the market's growing demand," a KIJSETTHI Mobility representative said.

This large-scale export contract marks a new milestone in the company's journey to bring "Made in Vietnam" products to global markets. It also affirms Kim Long Motor's capability to manufacture modern, high-quality vehicles, contributing to the enhanced standing of Vietnam's automotive manufacturing industry within the global value chain.

This marks an important step forward, providing added momentum for Kim Long Motor to increase investment, enhance production capacity, and move toward its goal of becoming one of Southeast Asia's leading manufacturers and exporters of commercial vehicles.

Building on this success, Kim Long Motor plans to continue expanding exports to the Middle East and other international markets in the near future.

In the context of Southeast Asia's push toward green, smart, and sustainable transportation, the partnership between Kim Long Motor and KIJSETTHI Mobility is considered a strategic step, creating substantial development potential for both sides. The agreement not only enables the two companies to maximize their respective strengths but also contributes to accelerating the "greening" of the regional transportation sector.
