The electric vehicle company VinFast, owned by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, recently announced it will launch two electric bus models at the Busworld Europe 2025 exhibition, which will take place from October 3-9 in Brussels - Belgium. This is the world's largest bus and coach exhibition.

Bringing two VinFast electric bus models to Europe
Specifically, VinFast will bring two all-electric bus models, the EB 8 and EB 12, to the event, according to the annoucement on August 26.
The EB 12 has already obtained UNECE and CE certifications, meeting the European Union’s stringent technical standards. From size and configuration to charging compatibility, the buses are designed to specifically fit Europe's infrastructure and regulations, making them easy to integrate into public transportation systems.
Both vehicle models use LFP batteries provided by major manufacturers like CATL and Gotion, with a maximum capacity of 422 kWh, allowing for a real-world range of up to 400 km. The 140 kW fast-charging technology enables a full charge in just 2-3 hours.
VinFast stated that the goal of this product line is to meet the demand for green transportation while expanding its presence in the European market through cooperation with local transportation and infrastructure partners.
Before entering the international market, VinFast's electric buses were put into operation in Vietnam four years ago, establishing the country's first electric bus route. The company currently has a production capacity of 1,500-2,000 vehicles per year and has built a synchronized operation and maintenance ecosystem. This is the foundation that gives the company confidence to expand into developed markets.
Previously, VinFast also introduced the VF 6 and VF 8 electric SUVs in Europe, aligning with its strategy to build a comprehensive electrified transportation ecosystem.
VinFast charges an overtime parking fee
Also on August 26, the company V-Green—VinFast's charging station operator, founded by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong—announced an adjustment to its free parking policy after charging.

Accordingly, individual customers and GSM (Green SM) drivers now only get 10 minutes of free parking after charging, instead of 30 minutes as before. After this period, an overtime parking fee of 1,000 VND per minute will be applied across V-Green's entire DC fast-charging station.
The company explained that the change is intended to optimize station capacity, prevent situations where fully charged vehicles still occupy a spot, and create favorable conditions for more customers to use the service.
Despite tightening the parking time, VinFast is still maintaining its "free battery charging" policy for two years for customers who purchase a vehicle by June 30, 2027. For transportation drivers, especially those from Green SM, the company applies a free charging policy from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and offers a 50% discount during other hours.
